The WOVEN A to Z Challenge: X is for The Ax!

I dedicate this A to Z Challenge to Tina Downey, one of the A to Z Challenge founders and one of the brightest bloggers who sadly left us last year. Harder still, she was in a secret support group that I'm part of. The best way I can honor Tina, who was excited about and never had the opportunity to read my debut, I've teamed up with Father Dragon to present short bios and character portraits from Woven. I'll write the bios and all art is created by Al Diaz. I hope you enjoy this visual tribute to our friend, Tina.

This next entry is a bit of a cheat. This is the letter X, after all. And who better to complement us with a cheat than Tassin the dwarf?

X is for The aX

A useful tool for cutting down trees and chopping up wood, Axes have served the people of Avërand well for hundreds of years. Sometimes they get dull or rusty, much like Nels's before he sneaked his way to the festival. But in the wrong hands, an ax could be used for a more nefarious purpose. No one could've expected that the fate of Nels will be forever changed by bringing a new ax home from the festival...

  2. Interesting that a different axe would change his life. Makes you think. What will I touch today that will change my life.

  8. Axes are very frightening weapons. I always think it has to be someone very strong to use one.

  9. An ax is a good weapon. I have a character that uses one too.

  10. Guess you could say he wouldn't have learned what he did, if he hadn't chosen that ax! Lisa, co-host AtoZ 2015, @ http://www.lisabuiecollard.com
