I dedicate this A to Z Challenge to Tina Downey, one of the A to Z
Challenge founders and one of the brightest bloggers who sadly left us
last year. Harder still, she was in a secret support group that I'm part
of. The best way I can honor Tina, who was excited about and never had
the opportunity to read my debut, I've teamed up with Father Dragon to present short bios and character portraits from Woven. I'll write the bios and all art is created by Al Diaz. I hope you enjoy this visual tribute to our friend, Tina.
This is it, the final stretch of the A to Z Challenge. Let's do this!

A sturdy and dependable lad, Wallin is one of Nels's friends and his most frequent sparing companion. With tousled red hair and green eyes, Wallin is one of cobblestown's most competitively minded youth, who also shares the dream of being selected as a knight's squire. Quick to tease and unwilling to give up, you can't go far without him cracking a joke or out eating others in a meatball eating contest.

Wallin was a fun character.
ReplyDeleteWallin reminded me of Ron Weasley. That's how I pictured him.
ReplyDeleteGetting close to the end!
ReplyDeleteAw, she's cute. :)
ReplyDeleteA meatball eating contest?! I'd totally take that challenge!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the A to Z Challenge!

I liked Wallin and his belief in Nels, even when he couldn't see him! Lisa, co-host AtoZ 2015, @ http://www.lisabuiecollard.com
ReplyDeleteHe'd beat me in meatball eating contest.
ReplyDeleteYes, I can see Ron Weasley in Wallin. Great picture as usual dear dragon.
ReplyDeleteWallin sounds like someone anyone would want to be friends with. :P
ReplyDeleteHe sounds like a good friend to have around in a crisis, meatballs, jokes and all. And every sketch that I've seen is beautiful, this one no exception.
ReplyDeleteReally, meatballs? Out of all the foods to eat competitively I would have chose something like ice cream. :)
ReplyDeleteA good friend, and especially one who can win meatball eating contests, is hard to find!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to read this book.
ReplyDeleteWallin is fun. Still can't believe how you're tying the whole A-Z challenge to your book.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun character!
ReplyDeleteThese are so good. You need to make yourself a poster. (bossy, aren't I?)
ReplyDeleteOh he sounds like a good side kick that one can count on
