About

Hi! My name's David. Some call me DPK. Others call me Earthquake (long story).

Since before I learned to write letters, I fell in love with creating stories. What started as a simple preschool poem grew into a series of sci-fi adventures that led to my first novel at age 15. I grew up dabbling with filmmaking and animation in my hometown near LA, but writing proved to be my lasting ambition.

Today, I'm an author of all things Fantasy and Science Fiction, with a Bachelors in Behavioral Science. By day, I administer psychological assessments to pediatric and psychiatric clients. By night, I retreat to my nook and write! I'm something of an animation nerd, too (don't tell anyone!).

I've written ten novels with more on the way. I moderate inkPageant (a website for writers) and I've had the privilege of being called an "evil genius" by Orson Scott Card during his writing workshop.

I currently write MG and YA Fantasy and Science Fiction, and I have a soft spot for zombies and the paranormal, especially ghosts!
