I knew I was in trouble once we got into the Q's. Luckily there's one old show that I can rely on. Quantum Leap truly captured my imagination as a kid, and I might add is among the more believable theories in time travel. Sometimes my siblings tuned in and cranked the volume just to see me run into the room so I could jam to the opening theme.
Come back on Monday for a new track. Thank you for stopping by!
I'm David, and "... Oh, boy ..."
That must've been a sight!
ReplyDeleteAdmit I never got hooked on the show. Must've been busy with life at the time.
Love that show! It had its flaws, but overall it was enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED that show. The best part was the end of each episode with the teaser of where he leaped next.
ReplyDeleteI totally cheated on the letter Q today...
I can see why you jammed to this theme. :-)

I loved Quantum Leap! I used to see re-runs on TV and watch them every now and then. I also loved the theme song. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is one of those shows I've only seen bits and pieces of courtesy of re-runs. I've never been a big fan of time travel, barring Time Machine with Rod Taylor. However, the bits and pieces I've seen of Quantum Leap had me focusing mostly on the drama than the concept of time travel. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Immarcescible Word
I remember this show:) Such memories. I love when you remember so much by just the theme song/music.
ReplyDeleteWell, people have told me about this show. I don't think I've ever seen it on television. Yet I swear I've heard the theme somewhere.
ReplyDeleteLOL! That is SO eighties. I love all kinds of instruments, but the keyboard effects from the 70's and 80's pretty much drive me crazy. Cringing. Begging for it to stop. =)
ReplyDeleteTrue Heroes from A to Z
I liked the show but would avoid watching it again as I'm sure it hasn't aged well.

Second Quantum Leap of the day!
ReplyDeleteI never really watched that show, but I saw Dean Stockwell (I think that's his name?) on a movie the other day and looked him up. He was a child star...I never realized that!
ReplyDeleteI was just lamenting that I missed that series. Have a Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteMy sister's and I can recite the whole opening.
ReplyDeleteAwesome show and fun choice, David! Have a nice weekend! jean
ReplyDeleteThis is one of those shows I've always planned to get in to, and I haven't yet. I'd better move it up the list! :)
ReplyDeleteWere you being snarky at my Q post???
ReplyDeleteJust cryptic. :)
DeleteFun Theme, I worked hard on my posts last year and used my history blog, this year I am having fun with my posts and visiting as many participants as possible, there are some very nice Sci Fi blogs. You hit on one of my ALL TIME favorite shows! #AtoZchallenge ☮Peace ☮ ღ ONE ℒℴνℯ ღ ☼ Light ☼ visiting from http://4covert2overt.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteThe song wouldn't play for me. I just got the "Error" message. But, I watched that show. It was great. I always thought it was funny on those occasions when he leaped into a woman and had to wear heels and all that stuff. ha! And his partner on that show was too funny. Makes me think I need to go buy those on DVD and enjoy them all over again.
ReplyDeleteAh, this is a great show! Al always amused me, and it had such an interesting concept. I can see why you'd rock out to the opening theme.
ReplyDeleteI watched Quantum Leap occasionally. It was teleporting with no idea where or who you would end up being. . . only slightly stressful when the lead looked into the mirror to who he was. . .
ReplyDeleteSiblings can be such fun, can't they?
I loved Quantum Leap!!! We used to tape it - on VHS, remember that??
ReplyDeleteThis show and Time Tunnel were two of my faves. I really wanted a quantum generator. Santa never brought one. :(
ReplyDeletemusic connects us to so many memories and we all have our share of them....this was beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAh, Scott Bakula. I have only seen sporadic episodes. Some while catching it while an ex step-father watched it, and some random reruns. I thought it was pretty good, but nothing I ever bothered catching up on what I missed.
ReplyDeleteI heard the series finale was a bit lackluster? A shame if true.

I'm pretty sure I never saw this show... but I might be forgetting??
ReplyDeleteI still know it's a classic. ;)
One of my friends loved the show, but I was working 24-7 at my bookstore and never watched it. Bright, breezy theme though. :-)
