The Epic A To Z Challenge Finale: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess "Staff Credtis!"

For my first A to Z Challenge ever, I'm highlighting a favorite track from various science fiction and fantasy movies, games, and TV shows. Feel free to press play and listen while you visit other A to Z participants.

Here we are, gang! The end of the challenge. And what better way to send this off than with one of the greatest legends of all "time"? It wasn't long ago when I played my first The Legend of Zelda game, and I'm really glad it was Twilight Princess. It's enough for me to buy the Nintendo system for this title alone. Toru Minegishi, Asuka Ota, and Koji Kondo composed this score (you need three composers for something this epic). Shut up and take my rupees, Nintendo!

This has been a truly epic month of blogging for me. I hope it was for you, too. I'm dizzied by all the awesome themes, and amazed by how many new blogs I've found and new friends I've made. Thank you for participating, and thank you for sticking around and listening in.

I think it's time for a little break now. I'll see you guys next week. There may be cause for celebration (and prizes), so stay clicked!

I'm David, and "shadow and light are two sides of the same coin."

  2. I've never played any of those games but I always thought the gold cartridge of one of the originals was pretty cool.

  3. I think I did listen to part of the Zelda score on one of the Greatest Video Game Music albums I bought from Amazon. Those were pretty neat, especially the London Symphony Orchestra playing those really old games like Super Mario Bros or Tetris http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005WV6ZI8

  11. I never played this game (if you haven't noticed I'm not much of a gamer), but this music is great.

This month really has been epic. I've met countless new bloggers and read many interesting posts. Or like in your case, listened to a lot of wonderful music. I'll definitely be visiting your blog in the future. :)

    Congratulations on completing the Challenge!!!

  12. Ah, Zelda. I think we own every version that has ever existed. Ever. We own the soundtrack too, both disks. The kids listen to it while falling asleep.

I loved your entries! I pulled them up and kept them playing in the background while hopping. Great stuff. Life back to normal, eh?

  18. I have two brothers, and I think the Zelda video games were the only games they played that I ever got in to. So of course I love the music. :) Enjoy your break!

  24. Takes me back to playing Zelda on the GBA. Thanks for the memories and your theme was one of my favourites David. You shared more than your theme, you gave a piece of yourself. Thank you and congrats on making it to the end my friend. See you next week.

  28. I've never played Zelda.

Your theme was great this year - I really enjoyed hearing mostly new but also some familiar music. :)

  31. More gorgeous music! I REALLY enjoyed your theme this year, Sir David! Well done and CONGRATS for completing the challenge with such finesse!

  32. Unfortunately, I was never able to play this title. I loved the original NES and SNES titles. Beyond that I don't believe I carried on with the series, even though I owned a Game Cube.

They definitely keep up with their awesome music and theme, which is great! So while I haven't been able to play this particular title, I'm able to enjoy the soundtrack (or at least one track...) and be reminded of the good 'ol days of slashing pots and bushes, and running from crazed chickens!

Congrats on participating and completing the challenge! Sorry I wasn't able to keep up the entire time, considering yours was one of the more relaxing themes offered. It's just how it usually goes for me. I was lucky to get in posts before Midnight (and had those "cheater post" slots now and again...) towards the last half. Hopefully you enjoyed yourself so much that you will continue to participate in the coming years!

Great theme! I've enjoyed almost all of your selections, and I'm sure you will come up with something just as fun next year!

Glad you enjoyed your first A-Z! I'm sure I speak for everyone that we had a great time listening to all the great tunes you found for us.
