I wasn't going to do this. I totally wasn't going to do this, but then I remembered the promise I made, that I was going to do this. Just how exactly do I be true to myself and others if I took the easy road and sat on the cosmic sidelines? Pretty lousy, I'd imagine. Plus I need to get back into the game and this is the kick in the chain mail I need.
Hosted this year by Damyanti and her team, you can check out the other (many) participants of this year's A to Z challenge here.
And now, for my first A to Z challenge ever (as a soundtrack junkie who must listen to something without lyrics when writing), I shall highlight my favorite and most motivational tracks from various science fiction and fantasy movies, games, or TV shows. Huzzah!
Every day in the month of April (except Sundays), I will share my favorite track from a movie, game, or TV show that begins with that letter of the alphabet. Participants, feel free to listen to the track while you visit other blogs. Here's an epic preview to warm us up!
This is it. Wish me luck. Keep calm. Shoot straight. Here we go!
Are you doing the A to Z Challenge this year? If so, what's your theme? What was your experience like, oh wise survivors?
I'm David, and I have the strangest urge to be a viking ...
Welcome to the Challenge! You won't regret it.
ReplyDeleteThis will be my fifth and my best advice - pace yourself.
I love soundtracks! If you're lacking any letters, let me know.
ReplyDeleteI like it! A subtle little interlude to set the blood boiling, the mind racing and the fingers tapping on the keyboard. I feel like munching on a fire-roasted leg o' lamb.
ReplyDeleteCool. I'm doing music too. :)
ReplyDeleteHi David ... looking forward to being reminded of some things! Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you signed up for the Blogging from A to Z Challenge, David! My husband and boys play lots of games that I don't understand (like "Elder Scrolls") but I do enjoy a lot of the music!

Wow! When I saw this post title and your theme for A-Z my jaw literally dropped, I'm so excited to see what you post up!
ReplyDeleteMy theme is a daily haiku, which now doesn't seem quite so exciting, but at least my posts should be short and sweet.
Good luck for the Challenge!

Sounds like fun. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteGood luck - I'll be tuning in to hear your posts! :) If that makes sense... I'm doing the April session of Camp Nano and celebrating my book birthday tomorrow! But I will definitely stop by to read your posts!
ReplyDeleteI was going to something similar -- but I know my musical tastes usually gives my friends nosebleeds. But your take on it sounds fantastic. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's right, Sir David. One must keep the promises. Mostly if one is a knight. And you have excellent taste for scores, I must add.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you brave A-Z'ers!!
