Fleer. Odd choice, no? I've never heard this word before today, so I looked it up. Turns out to be a nice alternative to Scoff or Sneer, and for some reason, it shows up as a misspelled word on this blog. Hmm. Anyway, here's what it means . . .
Fleer, an intransitive verb, means to grimace or laugh in a derisive manner. As a noun, Fleer is a word, or simply a look, of mockery or derision. Fleer is also the brand name for a series of Baseball Cards.
