Have any of you seen Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs? That film was a riot and a half! If you haven't, you might as well. Good laughs and an all-around feel good movie. Just be sure to eat something before you go.
One thing I know is for certain. Great talent can appreciate great talent. Many aspiring writers have their doubts and their discouragements, but it is refreshing to see someone, just like you, reach for and acquire their dreams. If a film or other medium encourages growth and creativity in others, than that is something worth producing and sharing. Funny how a movie about falling Meatballs (Okay, it was more than that) could give me a boost to press on and reach your goals.
Speaking of which.
Updates: The current novel is redrafted, prologue through chapter 4 with 5 starting today. This is going to be a busy week for me, so I'm not sure how much I will get done, but I hope to have the first 9 chapters polished by the end of this week or next, and then get back to that messy chapter 10. Once there, I can draft new material again.
In a way, I'm glad that I'm editing now. It will save on time later.
No word yet on Forerunner. I better remind my readers that I need those back.
My critique group is running well and everyone involved is enjoying what I'm sharing, with minor suggestions or grammar issues. It makes me ecstatic. Also, I was pleasantly surprised with a gift from an old friend of mine, back in California. A Complete Grimm's Fairy tales. This way I can get back to the roots of fair tale lore and learn from the experts, or summon new inspiration for "retellings" and what-have-you. Thanks a Million, Jessica ^_^
