WANTED: Do You Like Science Fiction and Fantasy? We're Open For Guest Posts and More Guest Posts!
I have something of a proposition for the Blogosphere today.
Here's the situation: I'm busier now than ever before, which means I'm having to readjust my schedule and things. I've cut down on blogging in the past and thought I could either cut down even more, or allow for more guests to swoop in and share their posts on this blog. Having something new up every week is what I'd like to see.
So if you like science fiction and fantasy, have a book you'd like to promote, or want to crash in and talk about whatever for old times sake, I want to hear from you! Send me an email. Let's talk shop.
Speaking of shop, I need to get ready for another day's hard work. Thanks in advance for your help. I can't wait to hear from you!
How often do you have guests on your blog? What's a good strategy for someone with two jobs? Who's ready for winter to be over?
I'm David, and I updated my schedule for 2016 here!

Will d!
ReplyDeleteI usually have two to three guests a month.
I should have more guest posts. I just leave my blog, all sad and neglected.
ReplyDeleteHi David - great idea to open up the blog to fellow bloggers - makes sense and I'm sure they'll add energy for you ... and the takers will roll on in .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteI've left my blog unattended for months at a time, but have never gone the route of having guest writers. I've nothing against that, of course, just never did it myself. I think it's a great idea for your blog!
ReplyDeleteGuest posts are a great way to bring new readers to both your blog and your guest writer's blog. It's a win-win situation. Besides, there's nothing better than having a week when I don't have to think up a topic because I have a guest post.
ReplyDeleteI generally have guests whenever someone wants to be on my blog. It can help bring in some new followers.
ReplyDeleteIf you find good balancing strategies let us all know! Otherwise good luck!
ReplyDeleteI host guests whenever they ask.
ReplyDeleteThe book I'm writing at the moment is paranormal romance/fantasy, but it's nowhere near done yet. After writing NA and non-fiction, it's been a blast to write this one.
David, I'm doing an Anti-Blog Tour right now for my 1867 Steampunk fantasy, THE NOT-SO-INNOCENTS ABROAD, with the insane Abraham Lincoln as one of the main villains, along with a vampiric Abigail Adams and equally infected Benjamin Franklin. I would like to drop by if you do not mind.
DeleteA good strategy for people with two jobs, make sure you get all the sleep you can when you can. It helps, i promise.
ReplyDeleteAs for winter, i don't much care for cold, but i don't want A/C season to start yet, either.
I don't host too many guests. I figure if they want exposure, my blog is not the place to get it. I think the trick to keeping a blog going with two jobs is to write a bunch of posts in advance (on that one day you have some free time). You can stop laughing now. I didn't say I knew what the trick was. I said I thought I knew what the trick was.
ReplyDeleteI love reading fantasy books but I don't think I have the right imagination to write it. Looking forward to reading more about them soon. :)
ReplyDeleteMy blogging schedule is a bit in the wind right now so I only take on guest when I am sore I can give my blog the attention it needs. Recently I had Stephanie Faris over and it was great.
ReplyDeleteI have guests whenever someone wants to stop by.
ReplyDeleteIt's tough to balance everything. I've started only posting once a week and combining all things: a bit of an update, guest stuff, and the Celebrate check in. So far, it's working better than my sporadic posts and my two a week posts (I was doing personal post one day and spotlights on the other day. I prefer combining the two.)
Once you have a strategy for juggling the two jobs thing let me know as I feel like I'm in the same boat:)
ReplyDeleteI really need more guest bloggers too, because I've finally returned to the blogging world and I think people forgot I existed…
