The WOVEN A to Z Challenge: Alex's G is for Gleesel! And Special Announcement For Dragon of the Stars!

I dedicate this A to Z Challenge to Tina Downey, one of the A to Z Challenge founders and one of the brightest bloggers who sadly left us last year. Harder still, she was in a secret support group that I'm part of. The best way I can honor Tina, who was excited about and never had the opportunity to read my debut, I've teamed up with Father Dragon to present short bios and character portraits from Woven. I'll write the bios and all art is created by Al Diaz. I hope you enjoy this visual tribute to our friend, Tina.

Let's pause for second. We're doing something a little different today. Alex J. Cavanaugh, author of the newly released Dragon of the Stars, is going to tell you about the next character from Woven, and then he'll take over the blog for a little while. The bridge is yours, sir!

G is for Gleesel

One of the most interesting characters Nels and Tyra encounter is Gleesel. Known as the Mountain Witch, they travel to her home to find the Needle that will save Nels. What they find is someone who is trapped in many ways and haunted by loss. She is not a bitter person, and is pleased to have visitors, especially royalty, in her house. She possesses the secret to locating the Needle but cannot access it. As a ghost, Nels can see what she cannot, and they must help each other. You might not recognize her when you first meet Gleesel. Just be watching. And listening…

Tomorrow: H is for Hilvar.
