The First Ender's Game Trailer is Finally Here!

You might be thinking, wow, Dave, you're really geeking out over this trailer, aren't you? A touch, I'll admit that, but I've been waiting for a movie to be made of my favorite science fiction book since I first read it when I was 12. Now, it's here, and I couldn't be more pleased ...

Anyone else get chills besides me? And that was just a teaser!

What about you guys? Was the wait worth it? What did you like or not like? Who's going to a midnight showing Halloween night?

I'm David, and on November 1st, the enemy's gate is down.

  1. I've never read the book, but the trailer looks good. Some people have said CassaStar reminds them of it in spirit, so curious to finally see it. (And decide for myself.)

  2. Um, yeah. I've watched it like a dozen times now. I'm geeking out right along with you. My favorite sci-fi book is Speaker for the Dead. Will we have to wait for Asa Butterfield to grow up to make that one? LOL.

    1. If they made him a little older for the first one, they can make him a little younger for the second one. :)

  3. Yellow lightning bolts! The special effects look top notch. I only read the book once (but gave it a very thorough read). I actually didn't see many similarities between it and CassaStar other than "they both take place in space."

  4. You should be geeking out. I'm totally geeking out. I FINALLY read that book only three months ago, and I still reeling. YAY! And check out that cast! Whew. This might be a midnight/release night movie for me. =D

  5. Who's playing Bean? And then are they going to adapt all those books?

  8. WHOA...

That is ONE COOL TRAILER... I'd see anything with Harrison Ford in it... as for the rest of the CAST .... IMPRESSIVE!

    Thanks for sharing David.

  12. When I first heard of the book someone was comparing it with The Hunger Games, so I made up my mind not to read it because I'm not overly fond of The Hunger Games. However, since then I've learned more about Ender's Game and it is one high on my list of too read. I want to get my hands on it before the movie comes out, because I think I will end up going to the movie as well.

    1. I fail to see how this and Hunger Games is remotely comparable. Far from it. Ender blows Hunger out of the water, in my opinion. Glad you'll be reading it. :)

  14. This trailer looks 10x better than I thought would David. The book is very cerebral, but they're finding a lot of great imagery in it.

  15. I'm out of patience with this. I've known for too long that they're making the movie and it always seems to get pushed out further and further. I want to see it NOW! And yes, the trailer looks great. As if it weren't obvious, I can't wait for this movie to arrive at my local theatre.
