Thursday Scores: Shippuden

Have you ever watched a series that never seems to end? A few years ago we stumbled upon one such series, and the music is one of the many thrills that comes with the investment - and it's about ninjas! Who doesn't want a little high fantasy ninja epicness now and then?

Shippuden: by Yasuharu Takanashi
From the series: Naruto - Shippuden

I'll get around to reviewing this series when there's a good spot for it, but I'm not sure when that will be. It's at 350 episodes with no signs of slowing down. For these reasons, I can't help but think of Alex J. Cavanaugh - the writing ninja - whenever I listen to this soundtrack (there you go, Alex - you have your own theme music now)! Because the man never gives up, which is the underlining theme of this series. Want more? Here's the whole thing - such a great variety of scores!

I hope this one gives you the writing jutsu you need for the day! Have a great one, and never give up - that is our writing ninja way!

I'm David, and the Crewel winner is Gabriel C. Taylor (email me)!

  1. I think not giving up is the underlining theme of almost all anime featuring teenage action heroes. :)

Naruto failed to grab me, but I really enjoy other long running series like InuYasha and Bleach and Fairy Tail. Anime music in general tends to be awesome. Gotta love it. :)

  4. Congrats to the Gabriel!

This sounds totally not up my genre, but at 350 eppys, it must be pretty good! I'm not into Anime, though.

That's quite a task ahead of you if you're going to go through all of those and review.

About the Book Club...if you see a book we're going to read that you were planning on reading anyway, join in. If it's one that you've read, join in and give your input. If you don't have time or don't want to read the next month's book, drop out and take a breather.

I figure we'll all overloaded, all the time. I know I am. The reason I started it, is because essentially, we all end up reading the same books on craft. Why not do it together? I'm going to read them anyway, and write a review for Goodreads...may as well take it to the blog, too.

If you can, GREAT. It would be nice to have you. If there's a reason you can't...hope to see you for the next book. :o)

  5. Alex just had to be the first to comment on this one. I'm a big Naruto fan. This anime can go on forever. I'm right here watching. And yes you have given me my writing Jutsu for today. I'm going to use it to try and get to chapter five of my W.I.P. Escaping Wonderland.

  7. I love anime music, and I love Naruto, although it does go on for a long time! Lots of filler episodes. I listen to music from anime while I write :)

  15. Wow, 350 episodes? That is a lot of commitment if you are just starting. I've heard good things about Naruto. And this is a great track.

  17. Ninjas!!! And more importantly, ANIME!!!! <3 <3 <3 Though admittedly, I never got into Naruto. Though I never watched Naruto Shippuden. I got bored of the fight-scene upon fight-scene after the 6th episode, and sick of the random 'nine-tailed-fox' which "suddenly appeared" in the opening of the first (and every following) episode... 350 episodes are you serious?! Yikes... well, they must be doing something right for someone out there!!! Thanks for sharing the awesome ninja music of epicness, David!
