  2. I won't lie. I wasn't excited for ANOTHER Spiderman. I liked the ones we already had and I thought this was a little quick. However... thanks to you sharing this, I am officially on board the Spiderman train! Holla!

  4. I'm a sucker for a good superhero movie. This year ROCKS for us geeks, don't you think? I had my doubts about them rebooting the whole Spiderman franchise again, but this looks really promising and a whole lot less crummy-CG-dependent than the Tobey Maguire ones. Looking forward to it :D

  5. I'm really not that excited.

I mean, yeah, this footage is awesome. But - its starting all over again. So what if Toby McGuire is aging out of the role; doesn't me a complete do over. And this isn't even following the comic books. Is it?

I don't know if I'll watch it. Come on Hollywood, come up with a new action figure idea.

    1. I can answer that! In the comics, his first love is Gwen, not MJ. His first super villain was Lizard, not Goblin. I like the other films a lot, but I like it when the source is followed more.

Granted, in the CB world, new origins come out all the time for every hero.

Just think Burton's Batman to Nolan's Batman. Both good in their own right. That's about what they're aiming at for our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. :)

  6. I'm not sure about them doing another movie. I wish they would have waited a bit longer to bring out a new one, but of course they wouldn't make money that way.

    1. And save money, as not to assemble an entirely new production crew later on.

  7. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of comic book movie do-overs. But, the trailer looks intriguing. I'll be in the theaters watching though, hubby loves them. He's still waiting for an Aqua-Man movie. Did I spell that right? Or is it Aquaman...forgive me superhero fans, as my husband would say, "You're such a girl!"

  8. I'm surprised they're making a new one, but hopefully it will be more authentic than the last ones:)

  9. Looks like they are keeping closer to the origin story from the comics, staying with the science theme in a more pronounced way. Looks like his web comes from a gadget as opposed to out of little glands from his wrist - which is also more loyal to Stan Lee's story.

  10. What happened to Tobey Maguire? I guess he's too old now--being, what, thirty-something :-)

  11. Another Spiderman movie? Seriously? Did they run out of cool Marvel Heroes? Oh, yes, yes they did.

I'm in the Sci Fi category with you in the campaign.

  12. Fellow Campaigner too - MG group.

I don't think I'll watch that film though. Cinema became so expensive these days as did babysitters, that I just can't afford it until my book (and thos to come) sell really well.
