A To Z Challenge: Quantum Leap "Main Theme"

For my first A to Z Challenge ever, I'm highlighting a favorite track from various science fiction and fantasy movies, games, and TV shows. Feel free to press play and listen while you visit other A to Z participants.

I knew I was in trouble once we got into the Q's. Luckily there's one old show that I can rely on. Quantum Leap truly captured my imagination as a kid, and I might add is among the more believable theories in time travel. Sometimes my siblings tuned in and cranked the volume just to see me run into the room so I could jam to the opening theme.

Come back on Monday for a new track. Thank you for stopping by!

I'm David, and "... Oh, boy ..."

  1. That must've been a sight!
Admit I never got hooked on the show. Must've been busy with life at the time.

  3. I LOVED that show. The best part was the end of each episode with the teaser of where he leaped next.

I totally cheated on the letter Q today...

  5. I loved Quantum Leap! I used to see re-runs on TV and watch them every now and then. I also loved the theme song. :)

  6. This is one of those shows I've only seen bits and pieces of courtesy of re-runs. I've never been a big fan of time travel, barring Time Machine with Rod Taylor. However, the bits and pieces I've seen of Quantum Leap had me focusing mostly on the drama than the concept of time travel. :)

  8. Well, people have told me about this show. I don't think I've ever seen it on television. Yet I swear I've heard the theme somewhere.

  9. LOL! That is SO eighties. I love all kinds of instruments, but the keyboard effects from the 70's and 80's pretty much drive me crazy. Cringing. Begging for it to stop. =)

  10. I liked the show but would avoid watching it again as I'm sure it hasn't aged well.

  11. I never really watched that show, but I saw Dean Stockwell (I think that's his name?) on a movie the other day and looked him up. He was a child star...I never realized that!

  18. The song wouldn't play for me. I just got the "Error" message. But, I watched that show. It was great. I always thought it was funny on those occasions when he leaped into a woman and had to wear heels and all that stuff. ha! And his partner on that show was too funny. Makes me think I need to go buy those on DVD and enjoy them all over again.

  19. Ah, this is a great show! Al always amused me, and it had such an interesting concept. I can see why you'd rock out to the opening theme.

  20. I watched Quantum Leap occasionally. It was teleporting with no idea where or who you would end up being. . . only slightly stressful when the lead looked into the mirror to who he was. . .
Siblings can be such fun, can't they?

  24. Ah, Scott Bakula. I have only seen sporadic episodes. Some while catching it while an ex step-father watched it, and some random reruns. I thought it was pretty good, but nothing I ever bothered catching up on what I missed.

I heard the series finale was a bit lackluster? A shame if true.
