In every action story, there's that moment of calmness, growth of character, and the undeniable feeling that the story is headed in a direction you weren't expecting it to take. In my opinion, such a moment was executed in this week's example of Thursday Scores:
The Gift: by Basil Poledouris
From the film: Quigley Down Under
The film itself is one of the finest westerns I've ever seen (even though it doesn't take place in the American West), and I'm going to have to tag Bonnee Crawford for this track, not because she's from the land down under (or partially so), but because she resonates a generous, quiet strength in each post she writes, a gift to us all.
Round up your muse, buckaroos! Let's get us some write'n done!
I'm David, and Alan Rickman makes an awesome Western villain!
