Post: Book Launchs, Cover Reveals, and an Update!

Welcome back, fellow Cosmonauts!

Can you believe it's the middle of January already (the bigger part of me doesn't mind because that means warmer weather's coming)? Boy, does time fly. Lucky for us, another week has brought us some epic book-world news, including a couple book launches from some of my favorite bloggers! Exciting! Let's have a look at them, shall we?

Today is Libby Heily's Launch of Tough Girl!

Tough Girl by Libby Heily

Danger lurks everywhere in eleven-year-old Reggie's world - from the bully next door to the unwanted attentions of a creep at school. Raised by her mentally ill mother, Reggie is left to fend for herself in a rough neighborhood. She escapes in daydreams, battling aliens with her alter ego, Tough Girl.

When Reggie's mother disappears, her fantasy life spirals out of control and starts to invade her reality. She is hunted by a creature of her own design, and even Tough Girl is strong enough to stop him.

Will Reggie survive long enough for her mother to return, or will her dream world take over? ... (Contains adult language and themes)

Happy Launch Day, Libby! You can find copies here, here, and here.

This might be old news by now, but I have to mention Michael Offutt's second book in his A Crisis of Two Worlds series, Oculus.

Autumn has arrived in New York, and Jordan Pendragon is a freshman at Cornell University. Gifted in mathematics, he balances life as a research assistant with that of a student athlete - But Jordan also has a quest. He must find the Black Tower, a monolithic edifice housing a thing that defines the very structure of the universe. Jordan believes it is buried somewhere in Antarctica under miles of prehistoric ice.

October finds Jordan earning a starting position with the Cornell hockey team. But a dark cloud gathers over his rookie season. Unexplained deaths, whispers of a cannibal cult, a prophecy, and a stone known only as the Oculus, cast a shadow over his athletic ambitions. It is the start of a terrifying journey down a path of mystery, murder, and to a confrontation with an Evil more ancient than the stars
(Goodreads).

Having read the first one, I look forward to the second installment. You can (and will) find copies of this book here, here, and here.

I spotted several awesome cover reveals last week, and they are:

Available Now            -        Coming March 5th

And, from a great writerly friend of mine, this most stunning reveal!

(I had to post this one huge - look at all that detail!)

Remember, if you or someone you know is having a book launch, tour, or a cover reveal, I'd be more than elated to share it with the rest of my crew. Shoot me an email so I can save you a spotlight.

Update: While I haven't added new chapters to Undead, I have added a few thousand words to what chapters I do have (needed details here and there), which means I may bump the word count goal to 70K, but it's not official yet. If all goes well (and people stop getting sick), I'll hopefully have this finished in February, just as planned.

There's an exciting week lined up for you, so click back often for new tropes, scores, advice, and everything nice. How was your weekend?

I'm David, and join the cause - Save the Twinkie!
