Before I start, I wanted to thank everyone for your kind comments yesterday. They put a quick stopper on my worry wart. And now, I'd like to play around and try something. It's a new feature, darling.
Some of you know I'm a HUGE fan of film scores. I have 30+ GB of tracks in my iTunes list that I listen to whenever I work and write. And I thought, maybe I can share some of these tracks with you, with a little something about them, so you can listen while browsing blogs or if you need a quick, musical fix to get you moved and motivated, as they do for me. First up, I present this score:
Flow Like Water by James Newton Howard
From the Film: The Last Airbender
I'm also a HUGE fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, so when this film was about to come out, I was WAY excited. Unfortunately, the movie didn't do the show justice. At all. Thankfully, Mr. Howard managed to pull off an incredible score for the film, which I think is the film's one redeeming quality. He organized the orchestra into four sections, each indicating one of the four elements (wind instruments for Air, strings for Water, etc). Each time I hear this, it reminds me of the epic fantasy that's waiting to be written on my shelf. Have a listen and be inspired, and have a great Thursday!
I'm David, and today, I'm going to Flow Like Water.
